Origin Information:
Alongside the Pacas lot, we are excited to release an SL28 variety (a Kenyan cultivar) from Benjamin Paz, one of the most respected producers in Santa Barbara, Honduras.
While many Kenyan-grown SL varieties are known for their bold and intense character, Benjamin’s SL28 is delicate and elegant.
Complex fruit flavors reminiscent of black currant, citrus, and tropical fruits spread beautifully across the palate, while as the coffee cools, a vibrant hibiscus-like floral and herbal aroma gently emerges.
Although the flavor profile shares similarities with Kenyan coffees, the subtle differences in intensity and nuance make this coffee especially fascinating. Another highlight is the beautiful progression of flavors as the temperature changes.
